Cooper Cunningham

Teen Committee Chair

Hope Means Nevada

Cooper Cunningham, one of the Co-Chairs of the Teen Committee, is a Senior at Bishop Gorman High School and passionate about de-stigmatizing teen mental health and supporting teens struggling with mental health challenges. Cooper is actively involved in a wide range of student and civic organizations and has a keen interest in the mind-body-health connection.

Cooper also founded the 988 Awareness Project in 2022 to help spread the word about the new, abbreviated 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, especially given the rise in suicides in high school teens, college-age young adults, and military veterans.  Cooper is also one of ten nationwide members of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline’s “You Matter Council” and contributes to the “You Matter Blog.”

Cooper is a dedicated volunteer at Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada. In his free time, Cooper enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, pickleball, pick-up basketball, reading and playing chess.
