Payton is a junior at Bishop Gorman High School and is the founder of her high school’s Women in STEM chapter, an organization which focuses on increased female representation in STEM fields. Outside of Women in STEM, she is an active member in three honor societies and vice president of Medical Society. In her spare time, Payton loves to discover new music, bake for her family and friends, and go on long walks to clear her head. Hope Means Nevada is an important cause for her because she has seen firsthand the impact mental health has on many, especially her peers. Payton wants to make a positive impact on her community and classmates through being apart of HMN.
