Hope Means Nevada


Lauren Edgeworth is a Junior at Bishop Gorman High School. She is the founding Co-Chair for the Hope Means Nevada Teen Committee. When the pandemic began, Lauren and her sister realized how all their friends were struggling and the importance of mental health. They quickly mobilized a team of teens to address mental health issues, raise awareness with the ultimate goal of eliminating suicides in Nevada. Since then, Lauren has testified in front of the Nevada Senate and Assembly in support of Senate Bill 249, providing 3 mental health days to all students in Nevada.

Lauren is a high-achieving academic student whose goal is to attend school in the Northeast. Lauren has played on the 2 time State Championship Volleyball team since freshman year. She also plays club volleyball for Vegas Aces for the past 7 years and has qualified for Nationals every year of the past five years.

Lauren is driven by her desire to give back to her community and is very grateful for the opportunity to help others. Lauren’s main passion is mental health and is thrilled to represent so many teens as the Hope Means Nevada Co-Chair. She resides in Henderson, NV with her parents, her sister Caroline and dogs, Toshi and Aster.
